This guide walks you through the entire Elmo experience, from creating your account to monitoring your brand's AI visibility on an ongoing basis.

Before You Begin

Make sure you've completed the Quick Start and have Elmo running at http://localhost:1515.

The Elmo Workflow

Here's the typical journey for a new user:

  1. Register an account — Create your login credentials
  2. Set up your brand — Enter your website URL and brand details
  3. Run the prompt wizard — Let Elmo auto-generate prompts from your website
  4. View your dashboard — See your visibility score and key metrics
  5. Track visibility — Monitor how AI models mention your brand over time
  6. Analyze citations — See which sources AI models cite alongside your brand
  7. Manage settings — Adjust brands, competitors, prompts, and LLM configuration
  8. Generate reports — Create and share AI visibility reports

The worker runs continuously in the background, querying AI models on your schedule. Over time, your dashboard fills with trend data showing how your AI visibility evolves.
