A search that ends without a click because the answer appears directly on the results surface.
Zero-click searches were already common with featured snippets. AI Overviews and answer engines push the share higher by resolving the question in place.
This is the strategic reason AEO matters. If buyers read an answer and never click, being named in that answer is the visibility that counts.
