A search that ends without a click because the answer appears directly on the results surface.
Zero-click searches were already common with featured snippets. AI Overviews and answer engines push the share higher by resolving the question in place.
This is why AEO matters strategically. If buyers read an answer and never click, the mention in that answer is all the visibility you get.
