Embedding

An embedding turns a piece of text into a vector, a list of numbers, so that similar meanings sit close together. Engines use embeddings to retrieve the documents most relevant to a query.

You cannot optimize embeddings directly, only the content behind them: clear, focused, well-organized text on a single topic.
